Shotover Jet is “thrilled and delighted” to host the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their visit to Queenstown next month.

The royal couple came, enjoyed and left.

The 10-day New Zealand tour includes a visit to Queenstown on the afternoon of Sunday April 13, during which time the Royal couple will experience a jet boat trip on Shotover Jet, renowned as ‘The World’s Most Exciting Jet Boat Ride’.

13 April Queenstown vantage pointsWe’re aware that many of you will be keen to know if there will be any viewing or photo opportunities before, during or after their visit.  A release issued 31 March listed 

QUEENSTOWN 2.10pm (best opportunities): The best vantage point to see the Duke and Duchess in Queenstown will be in the park area just outside of Amisfield Winery (on the lake side), and in Millbrook Park on the corner of McDonnell Rd-Malaghans Rd on the way to the Shotover Jet around 3.20pm. 

 

 

The last public trip on Sunday 13th April will be 11am and the base area and beach will be clear of public by noon.  Public wishing to view the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the Shotover Jet will have access to Cavells restaurant lawn and we expect walking access to be open along the opposite side of the Shotover River accessed from the track beside the Edith Cavell bridge.
