60 years on Kimiākau
Since 1965, Shotover Jet has carved through the stunning canyons of Kimiākau (Shotover River). What began as a bold new way to explore the river has become a symbol of Queenstown’s adventurous spirit. At its core is a strong bond with the land, the river, and the people—whānau, kaimahi, and community.
In 2025, we celebrate 60 years of adrenaline, innovation, and deep connection to this iconic landscape - a milestone in adventure tourism and whanaungatanga (kinship) in Aotearoa.
