Hands Free cameras allowed
Hands Free Cameras allowed on the Big Reds
The no cameras policy in place for the last 15 years has been modified to allow Hands Free cameras on the Shotover Jet ride. The advent of Google glasses and mounting options for lighter action based video cameras have created an undeniable reason for modification of the policy.
The key reason for the ban has been safety. So the hands free devices must allow the customer to hold on with both hands throughout the trip. Secondly the camera must not protrude beyond the bodies natural silhouette to ensure that the camera does not interfere with another customers experience.
Forehead mounts for the popular Go Pro camera have been made available for both purchase and rental at the check in points for Shotover Jet to facilitate this in case the customer does not have the correct mount.
