We are OPERATING today!

Providing sponsorship and support to local sporting talent

“Whāia te iti kahuraki, ki te tūohu koe me he maunga teitei” – “Seek the distant horizon, should you bow your head let it only be to a lofty mountain”.

Community is a huge part of what we do at Shotover Jet and at the heart of our business are our core values; Manaakitanga (looking after our people), Rangatiratanga (leadership), Tohungatanga (expertise) and Kaitiakitanga (stewardship). We are always striving to provide these for our community.

The Te iti Kahuraki programme at Shotover Jet, provides sponsorship and support to local sporting talent.

The first athlete to be part of the Shotover Jet Te iti Kahuraki programme is 10 year old Riley Baker, from Lake Hayes. Starting on a little balance bike, Riley quickly progressed to a larger bike and started doing jumps in the backyard and from there it grew – as the bikes got bigger so did the jumps! Riley’s goal is to one day ride in the Red Bull Rampage event!

Dreams are made at home, in the backyard, on the school field and in the local sporting clubs! Will you be the next Valerie or Steven Adams? Or perhaps take to the water like Peter Burling and Lisa Carrington?

We are looking for our next grassroots talent to support. If you’re aged 5-17 and want to be part of our Te iti Kahuraki programme, we want to hear from you!

We have three sponsorship packages available for ages 5-17 years.
