ONLINE AND EVENT SHOTOVER JET TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We, Shotover Jet Limited, (“the promoter”) appreciate your custom and aspire to provide a friendly, exciting and safe experience. In participating in this activity, you, the passenger (“you”), agree to the following terms and conditions:

Prize description (“the Prize”):

The Prize is a refund of the individual pass retail rate paid by one passenger from the entrant’s Shotover Jet trip.

    1. By participating in the promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    2. The Promoter is Shotover Jet , through its website shotoverjet.com (“the Promoter”).
    3. The promotion is open for entry  1st December 2025 - 31st May 2026. Entrants must have been on a trip with Shotover Jet from 1st December 2025 - 31st May 2026. To be included as an entrant, entrants must:
      1. publish a Google review for Shotover Jet https://g.page/r/CZRh58u6nOHgEAE/review
        OR
      2. On Social Media Platforms mention/tag @shotoverjetnz, platforms include but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. On RED and WeChat platforms mention and tag @新西兰旅游Ngai Tahu
    5. The Prize will be refunded to the credit card used at the time of purchasing the individual pass.
      1. Where cash or debit card was used to purchase an individual pass, the Prize winner must provide their nominated New Zealand bank account details for the refund to be transferred to their account. If the Prize winner cannot provide a New Zealand bank account, a credit card will be required to issue the refund. No cash refunds will be provided.
    6. The maximum total refund will be $179 for an individual Shotover Jet pass.
    7. To be eligible to win entrants must have booked directly through Shotover Jet and not a third-party agent.
    8. Visitors who used a free of charge or complimentary pass are not eligible to enter this promotion.
    9. Employees of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Group and their immediate families or related entities are not eligible to enter this promotion.
    10. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate this promotion and/or these terms and conditions at any time for any reason, or without notice.
    11. The Promoter will not be liable in any way in relation to any loss, damage, harm, including personal injury arising in connection with this promotion. Any decisions made by the Promoter in relation to this promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    12. The Prize is non-transferable.
    13. All entrants must be aged 18 years or older.
    14. Entries are the property of the Promoter and may be used for promotional purposes by them.
    15. The winner will be notified via social media, email or Google. If the winner has not confirmed acceptance of their Prize within three days, the Prize will be redrawn.
    16. The Prize does not include any other facilities or activities that are not listed in the prize description.

Shotover Jet 60th Birthday Ride Promotion – Terms and Conditions

To celebrate Shotover Jet’s 60th anniversary, we’re giving a free ride to those who are also turning 60! If you were born in August 1965, you can experience the thrill of a Shotover Jet ride at no cost — our birthday gift to you. Please read the full Terms and Conditions below.

1. Eligibility

  • This promotion is open to individuals who:
    • Were born in August 1965 (i.e., turning 60 years old in August 2025), and
    • Meet the standard passenger eligibility criteria for riding the Shotover Jet, as outlined in our general Terms and Conditions.
  • Participants must be able to provide valid photo identification showing proof of age at check-in (e.g. passport, driver licence, birth certificate).

 2. Promotion Period

  • The offer is valid for rides taken between 1 August 2025 and 31 August 2025, inclusive.
  • Bookings must be made for a date within this promotion period.
  • All bookings are subject to availability and may be limited during peak times.

 3. Redemption Process

  • Eligible participants must:
    • Book their ride directly via the Shotover Jet reservations team.
    • Present valid proof of age at check-in to receive the complimentary ride.
  • Failure to present valid proof of age at check-in will result in loss of the free ride benefit, and standard fares will apply.

 4. Booking Conditions

  • One free ride per eligible person during the promotion period.
  • This promotion can only be redeemed once per person.
  • The offer is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be resold.
  • This offer is valid only for the individual turning 60; additional passengers must book at regular rates.
  • Any attempt to misrepresent age, identity, or eligibility to obtain a free ride may result in cancellation of the booking and future disqualification from promotions.

5. General Conditions

  • All rides are subject to standard Shotover Jet operating conditions, including river levels and weather.
  • Participants must adhere to all safety instructions and requirements issued by Shotover Jet staff.
  • Shotover Jet reserves the right to:
    • Modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the promotion at any time without prior notice.
    • Refuse participation to any individual who does not meet the eligibility criteria or poses a safety risk.
  • Standard cancellation and no-show policies apply. Failure to arrive for a booked ride without notice will forfeit the free ride offer.
  • By participating in this promotion, participants consent to the use of their image or likeness captured during the experience for promotional purposes.
  • Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the general Shotover Jet terms.
